
KUALA LUMPUR, 30th November - MCAT Box Office (MBO) has agreed to screen the best 20 short films submitted to FILMKITA in between movie trailers during movies show times for a period of one month in 2015. The exact month has yet to be decided.
FILMKITA's Corporate Advisor, Izzat Ratnasari said that this is an exciting new phase for FILMKITA. "MBO Cinemas is the second largest cinema chain in Malaysia, and it is going to be thrilling for these young Malaysian talents to be able to showcase their work for public viewing in the cinemas," he further commented.
During the signing of the partnership agreement, Nicholas Boy, Managing Partner of Navis Capital Partners, the company which acquired a majority stake in MBO and merged it with BIG Cinemas said, "We considered this as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. We believe in the Malaysian talents. If we do not help them , who else will?"
With more than 25 cinemas operating nationwide, MBO Cinemas which was established since 2005 targets sub-urban malls customers in the Klang Valley and in other cities as well, making them an ideal channel to reach to these audience.
